Inno Diagnostics is the reference laboratory of Ponce Medical School foundation. Its purpose is to provide excellent service to patients through the diagnostic testing process. It also performs high-tech tests necessary for the diagnosis and proper treatment of HIV patients. It is certified by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments.
With 30 years established, Inno Diagnostics has been characterized by the development and implementation of reference diagnostic tests, as well as genotyping, and viral load detection for HIV. Certified by Roche Diagnostics to process samples since June 1996. We were the first in Puerto Rico to use flow cytometry in the clinical area and the first to be certified to process viral load samples. INNO is the only laboratory in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean accredited by the WHO (World Health Organization) for HIV sequencing tests and provides diagnostic services to these regions.
The first reference laboratory affiliated with an academic center to process molecular samples to detect the virus that causes COVID-19. It has all the biosafety measures required for handling COVID-19 tests, including isolated areas for biosafety hoods with BSL2 classification, as well as for RT-PCR processing of samples.
